El 29 de noviembre de 1984, un grupo de amigos, cineastas y familiares, se reunieron en Santiago a recordar a los cineastas Jorge Müller y Carmen Bueno, tras cumplirse diez años de su detención y desaparición a manos de la DINA. Ese mismo día, la Asociación Gremial de Profesionales y Técnicos Audiovisuales (APTA) declara el 29 de noviembre el Día del Cine Chileno, en memoria de ambos.
