El documental "Impunity" de Juan Lozano y Hollman Morris encuentra profundas dificultades para ser exhibido en Colombia. En Colombia "no hay" censura, pero hay algo más grave: la autocensura. "Impunidad" es el único documental que resume los últimos diez años de historia de Colombia.

Siamo ancora a El Alamein

Mentre già si parla di un intervento NATO, di no-fly zone e di "missioni umanitarie", vale la pena di ricordare quello che accadde in Cirenaica durante la II Guerra Mondiale, per avere un'idea dell'importanza strategica che può avere quella striscia di terra che va da Tripoli fino ad Alessandria d'Egitto. Il video che segue è tratto dal documentario "De Nuremberg a Nuremberg" di Frederic Rossif.Frederic Rossif è considerato da molti il miglior documentarista del mondo. Fu il primo ad utilizzare materiali di repertorio, che andava personalmente a cercare negli archivi cinematografici di mezzo mondo, per costruire una struttura narrativa completamente nuova, indipendente dalla fonte originaria. Fu anche il primo ad utilizzare la musica come elemento espressivo e non solo di supporto (fu Rossif a "scoprire" compositori come Vangelis o Maurice Jarre), introducendo nel documentario una dimensione lirica mai conosciuta prima.

Il "Soldato d'Inverno" Mike Prysner

La cosiddetta "Winter Soldier Investigation" fu una campagna di protesta condotta nel 1971 da alcuni reduci del Vietnam, che denunciarono pubblicamente i crimini di guerra e le atrocità commesse dai soldati americani in Indocina."Winter Soldier Iraq & Afghanistan" è una campagna simile, nata nel 2008 e ispirata a quella originale, nella quale i reduci delle guerre di Afghanistan e Iraq denunciano lo stesso tipo di atrocità e crimini di guerra perpetrati dall'esercito americano nelle recenti guerre in quei territori. Naturalmente i grandi media ignorarono quasi del tutto la "Winter Soldier" originale, quanto hanno ignorato la sua versione più recente. Sanno bene che basterebbe passare in prima serata una testimonianza come quella che presentiamo di seguito, per vedere cambiare di colpo il volto della nazione - e probabilmente della storia stessa. È evidente che di fronte ad una lucida analisi come quella di Prysner non si possano più fare grandi distinzioni fra presidenti democratici o repubblicani (negli Stati Uniti), o fra governi "di sinistra" oppure "di destra" (in Europa), in quanto risultano tutti dei semplici strumenti al servizio dello stesso padrone.
