This is a project that was put together in just a few hours. Many young children have no interest in silent movies, which means they are missing some of the best movies ever made. We produced this short subject in the hope that it would spark some interest in old silent movies for a younger generation. Plan 9 from outer space (originally titled Grave robbers from outer space, or simply known as Plan 9) is a 1959 Cinema of the United States science fiction film thriller film written and directed by Ed Wood and released by Distributors Corporation of America (as Valiant Pictures). The film stars Gregory Walcott, Mona McKinnon, Tor Johnson and Maila Nurmi. The film bills Bela Lugosi posthumously as a star, although silent footage of the actor had been shot by Wood for another, unfinished project just before Lugosi's death in 1956.

The soilers is a 1923 American silent film comedy film starring Stan Laurel, and was released in the same year as the Western (genre) silent movie drama The Spoilers (1923 film). The name of one character from the original, "McNamara", may have a parody in the name of the James Finlayson character.
