Kristin Lauter: Matemática y criptógrafa estadounidense. Obtuvo todos sus grados académicos en la Universidad de Chicago.
Fue cofundadora y presidenta electa de la Asociación de Mujeres en Matemáticas entre febrero del 2015 y enero del 2017. En 1997 fue investigadora visitante en el instituto Max Planck de Mathematik en Alemania, profesora asistente de investigación TH Hildebrandt en la Universidad de Michigan, entre 1996 y 1999, y en 1999 fue investigadora visitante en el Instituto de Matemáticas Luminy en Francia.
