Alice In Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is a 1915 silent film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, directed and written by W.W. Young and starring Viola Savoy as Alice (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland).
This film version is notable for depicting the 'You Are Old, Father William in its entirety and it includes an image of John Tenniel's illustration of Father William doing his back-somersault at the front door.

A Burlesque on Carmen

Burlesque on Carmen is Charlie Chaplin's thirteenth and last film for Essanay Studios, released in 1915 and then later recut into a different version in 1916. Charlie Chaplin played Darn Hosiery and Edna Purviance played Carmen (novella). Carmen was very popular at this time and two films under this title had already been released in 1915, one by Carmen (1915 Raoul Walsh film) where Theda Bara played Carmen and one by Carmen (1915 Cecil B. DeMille film) where the part was played by Geraldine Farrar. Chaplin's version is a parody of DeMille's film, following closely its structure and using very similar sets and costumes.Review, synopsis and link to watch the film.

Hi Diddle Diddle is a black-and-white film American comedy film made in 1943 directed by Andrew L. Stone and starring Adolphe Menjou, Martha Scott, Dennis O'Keefe, June Havoc, Billie Burke, and (in a rare film appearance) Pola Negri. The title is a play on the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle and the use of diddle as a word for confidence trick. The film features animated portions from Leon Schlesinger's studion with the fast moving screenplay frequently breaking the fourth wall.
The film is also known as Diamonds and Crime (American reissue title).

Häxan (Danish title: Heksen; English title: The Witches or Witchcraft Through The Ages) is a 1922 Swedish/Danish Silent film horror film written and directed by Benjamin Christensen. Based partly on Christensen's study of the Malleus Maleficarum, a 15th-century German guide for inquisition, Häxan is a study of how superstition and the misunderstanding of diseases and mental illness could lead to the hysteria of the witch-hunts.
